Present-Centered Counseling

Daniel Barash, MA LMHC:

My work is informed by over a decade of studies, research and practice in the mental health field. My personal healing process has also given me an immense depth of insight, presence and compassion, which constitutes the real backbone of my work. 

Some might describe me as "heartfelt", "intuitive", "playful" or "down-to-earth". Spending time in nature, gospel and Native American music, ecstatic dancing, drumming, and cathartic-based therapies like Core Energetics have been vital along my soul's path.

My larger intention for counseling and healing work is in creating a world where ALL of who we are can be ​safely expressed and appreciated: our shadows, idiosyncrasies, and raw emotions, as well as our wisdom, strength, creativity and happiness. Through our learning to embrace all of ourselves, I envision a world where our relationship with all living beings becomes more harmonious and cooperative.
